Ken, can you guys get to the airport? The EAA runs shuttles between OSH and Fondy all week.

Preliminary report - 287 Warbirds registered so far vs 280 last year at the close of business Tuesday. Includes 75 T-6's (appropriate), 32 T-34's, and 21 Mustangs. For less numerous types we have 3 Corsairs, 1 SBD, 2 FM-2's, 5 B-25's, and 4 P-40's. No P-38's so far but do have unconfirmed intel on a Spitfire arriving "later".

May upload some photos tomorrow if we're rained out.

What a spectacular year for recent warbird restorations in attendance:

Conrad Huffstutler's FM-2 Wildcat
Jon Vesely's F-51D "Was That Too Fast" (pretty cool that it's currently parked next to a Yak-9, the F-51D's main adversary during the Korean War)
Robert Dickson's P-51D "Swamp Fox" (the aircraft that was formerly Jack Croul's "second P-51D" - one of the absolute nicest examples you will find anywhere)
Stockton Field Aviation Museum's PV-2 Harpoon
Jim Slattery's F7F Tigercat and PBY
Texas Flying Legend's Harvard
Texas Flying Legend's Stinson OY-1 (the example that won the Rolls-Royce Heritage trophy at Reno last year)
Fagen Fighter's latest P-40K (if it arrives)

*If you're not familiar with TFL's Harvard, here are a couple of great videos covering its final assembly at Aircorps Aviation (also included is a somewhat brief and very early look at the beginning of the restoration of "Sierra Sue II", which is really looking amazing these days):

Some photos of the (ex-RNZAF) Draken International jets would be appreciated if anyone can take some (McDonnell Douglas Skyhawks and Aermacchi MB339CB Macchis). Thanks.

Ron Fagen's new P-40K #96 should look like this #96 (Yellow numbers)

And it's face should look like this face

The P-51D Was That Too Fast that is on display at Oshkosh has a special meaning to me. The bombs and rockets that are on that aircraft were made by my very good friend Matt Hurd who has a website called Bombs Away. Matt was in Danville Illinois helping to hang the ordinance on this P-51 last week. That aircraft looks awsome I wouldn't be surprised that it might come away with some type of recognition before the week is over with. Way to go Matt.
