Chuckie was bought from Doc. Hospers in Ft. Worth ,Texas, Meacham Field and flown to Virginia Beach in early 2011. It went to New Smyrna Beach for work to be done ,chin turret etc., then flown back to Virginia.

I agree with Jim, I don't see the point of announcing you're not going, unless you were planning to meet up with so many wixers that it is too much trouble to notify them individually.

Then again I don't see the point of plugging how great the lineup is when we can all look at the list and draw our own conclusions.

Keep 'em coming, Michael! Outstanding additions to the lineup and a little Korean War and WWII warbird action to spread the wealth around.

And now we have THREE Jets in the lineup..........Vietnam/Cold War Era F-100 and A-4, and Korean War/Cold War Era F-86!

the F100 alone is reason enough to attend, just saying...

Which A-4 is this? The one based in NW Illinois that was at Thunder 2011?

I plan on doing the same thing I do every year. Sit on Ecorse Rd if winds are right for arrivals day Friday. Go into the show Saturday and have Sunday as my back up day. If I go in the show Saturday and Sunday is nice - then I will sit on Ecorse Rd Sunday to get better afternoon pictures since Thunder faces west and my afternoon shots start to get back lit.

I cannot disagree. It is a unique and beautiful warbird jet rarely seen at air shows. Even with the 8 B-17's (which I had seen at Thunder in 2005 also), Dean Cutshall's F-100 was the main reason I attended in 2010.

Yes, that's the one. The A-4B owned by the Warbird Heritage Foundation.

I'll be doing much the same, should be in the vicinity of the runway, blue Dodge Ram, scanners blazing and a pop up shade tent.
I look like a Sons of Anarchy stand in, stop by and shoot the breeze if you'd like.

Probably go 3 days, 1 day inside.

No, 1st year with my pop up, haven't even taken it out of the box yet.
I remember seeing those people though, I was on the other side of the runway, or at least more towards it.

Good idea Coop, I'm easy to find.
Blue dodge Ram with CSA flag in back, pop up tent, scanners blazing, biker looking guy. I prefer to be off about 40ft or so to one side or the other of the runway.
Names Doug, stop on by and talk some shop if you see me.

I will, just remind me when the time gets closer. If I happen to go by and miss you, flag me down. It would be nice to meet some of the other fanatics on this site.

Interest in Thunder is picking up as we go just under a month to the show! 4 weeks from today I will be on my way to Michigan. Look forward to perhaps a few more warbirds being added to the already exceptional lineup as the big weekend gets closer.
