Anyone know what the story is with this unique modification?

It was done as a fake He111 for airshows in the 80s. It went into store for the next 20 years or so, then was restored as a stock Aero 45 a couple of years back, and promptly wrecked.

The PBY in the background of the first shot is the one that was cut up for scrap in Ireland a few weeks back

Think they used big enough tie down weights and chocks? Don't even THINK about giving the line boy any grief if he can move the blocks by himself!! :shock:
