Warbird Information Exchange

Since I was in the "crowd" at both the AFA Graduation Parade and also Graduation (for my surrogate son's graduation), I can tell you personally that I listened intently when they made the announcements for the flyovers. During both flyovers, they gave the appropriate credit to each of the organizations flying the planes for each event.

It was heartwarming for me to have the warbirds flying the flyovers. As a 25 year plus member of the CAF and having flown in Journey before, it just about made me cry with pride that the Texas Air Legends, the WWII Flying Museum and the CAF flew for our kids at the AFA. After 4 years of hard work, they were not only cheated by the cancellation of the Thunderbirds but our current executive branch of the U.S. government also snubbed the graduates. It was despicable to me that both Obama or Biden cancelled their appearance as well. Thankfully, the current Secretary of the Air Force gave the commencement address. He was actually a great speaker.

I wish you all could have heard the "oohs" and "ahhs" from the crowd at both events. The flyovers were very well received and much appreciated by the parents and extended families of these newly minted 2nd Lts.
