Johnny Rutherford in the Mustang on the top, and (most likely) Ed Messick in Minuteman.

Given the timeframe, I wonder if that was part of the 'barnstorming tour' the VAC did to promote the International Air Races at Homestead in March of that year? I seem to recall that Whittington got a bunch of his Warbird friends to fly their planes around Florida on a promotional tour...including Harrison's B-17.

Thanks John and Robbie for the encouragement and I will try and find time to post more pictures. And Speedy I am glad you set me straight on the fact that Johnny Rutherford was one of the pilots. I had it in my mind that Mickey Rupp was one of the pilots. They both are Mustang pilots and Indy race car drivers. But my memory does not serve me well as of late.
