It maybe something to do with new artificial reef off Phuket that the Royal Thai Airforce created recently using some old retired Dakotas;

Would you want an artificial reef with oily old Pratt & Whitneys still attached? Sounds like an oil slick in the making to me!

Lower nose slightly damaged, two very slightly bent prop blades, looks like something that would happen if it was shoved of a barge with a bulldozer and 'bumped' the sandy bottom as it settled. Don't suppose there's any info on s/n or location other than semi tropical.

There are several DC-3/C-47 dive sites around the world. Some deliberately sunk others as a result of a ditching accident. The latter are generally not in good condition, as you might expect, so assuming the photo is recent it's probably the Turkish one.

That would make it TAF6010 msn (14270 in error) 25715 ex: 43-48454. No other intermediate identities.

This C-47 is the Turkish one at Antalya.

In the second post of this thread I gave you a link to a photo album which show how she was put underwater!
