Well not a flyer anymore but NZ1050 guards what was the main gate to RNZAF Base Wigram here in Christchurch where she once flew out of. Mounted on a pole (actually on the other side of the gate) in 1973 for the RNZAF 50th Anniversary she was recently brought down for a inspection and a few repairs due to corrosion. She is now back in her original 1960s paint scheme, the odd colour on the wing tips and rear fuselage is to represent the Day-Glo Orange used for real but it wouldn't last long in the sun so a different colour that would last longer was used.
The eagle eyed will notice a mark on the centre of the roundel. This was the Silver Fern (original a white fern but there was a lot of "White Feather Airways" comments from other Air Forces!!)
1972 saw it replaced with a Red Kiwi as used by the RNZAF to this day.

Is this close by where they give or use to give Tiger Moth rides?

Yes its right by the main road where you turn into where the main gate for Wigram was and the Tiger moth rides weren't too far away. No flying now as the base closed a while ago now. :-(
