Found two intake plugs. Small one has a part N°791825. Belgian AF origin, so possible F-84 or something? Can't remember seeing these on an F-104.

Didn't the F-104 have some sort of Boundary Layer Control System to assist with roll control or something like that? I wonder if I can find a drawing of an F-104 to see what lives around x373"...

F-104 was my first thought when I found them, but I've worked on them and can't seem to remember a plug like this or a location where it would fit.

I found a drawing online that puts station x483.6" right on the centre of the main gear axle. 10.6" forward of that (x373") would be getting close to the leading edge of the wing.
I looked up the Boundary Layer Control system on the '104 to refresh my memory. It had blown flaps, with the air exiting from a duct mounted on the rear spar and blowing over the flaps (if I understand correctly).
If I got the blown flaps arrangement correct, the air outlet would be aft of x373". Of course, the station number I have is from a TF-104, so maybe it has different station numbers than a single seater.
Did the Boundary Layer Control have an overboard exit somewhere else to blow off excess pressure, perhaps? Birds love air ducts for nests so it would make sense there was a plug for them.
