Not to bad for an airplane they told us in 1967 they MIGHT sell 250-275 of since the BAC 1-11& DC-9 were already in customers hands.
I believe total orders have pased the DC-3/C-47 totals. :supz: :supz: :supz: :supz: :supz:

My grandparents used to live in the Rockaways just under the flight path to JFK until the mid 80s. I recall that seeing a 737 was fairly rare until the early 1980s when they suddenly appeared everywhere. The 737 was a real "sleeper". Who'd have thunk it would have outlasted and outnumbered the 707, 727 and 747?
