I am encouraged to hear that the SB2C will be one of the first

That said, I was VERY disappointed when I visited U-H last fall
and the Helldiver was nowhere to be found. It was displayed for
years in Pensacola. I understand and support that NASM wants
to remark the bird as ADM Engen's mount. BUT IN THE MEANWHILE
COULD WE PLEASE SEE THE HELLDIVER??????????????????????

Blue skies,

The SB2C has been visable from the overlook into the shop at the Udvar-Hazy center since November 22, 2010.
The entire staff is working on it...dont understand how you missed it.

His original post was from February of 2009. One of the hazards of a thread brought back from the dead!

Great Job! I've seen her since the late '70's and being restored at Breck. in the '80's. Any chance the tail wheel will get a cover, or was that another practice to remove them during the War? Thanks, Anthony
