Hi All!
It has been a long time....Since the cat seems to be out of the bag, as some of the posts on here confirm, Kermit Week's P-51A IS being painted to honor Uncle Dean!!! Kermit contacted me about 18 months ago, and asked me if I had any pictures of Uncle Dean with his Snooper......WELL......those of you who know me know I have A FEW

I sent him what I had. I CAN'T wait to see this plane when it is finished!! My Dad, and Uncle Dean have to be smiling in whatever part of Heaven they are in! I hope you are all well, and enjoying life as much as I am!
Cheers
Karen

As someone who's been around this joint for a LONG time (I lurked for a while before joining), I well remember your many posts about your uncle Dean Gilmore, and I am just thrilled to hear this... I wonder if Kermit can work out something with Roush to get the rudder pedal/pedals out of "Old Crow", which I believe came from Dean's crash? This is really great news Karen, and I am thrilled for you and your family.

According to Joe Baugher's pages
P-51H-5-NA 44-64415 to NACA at Moffett Field, California as NACA 130. Now airworthy as N49WB. Was N313H before becoming N49WB
