It hurts me to have to pass the news that wix member and 1941HAG message board moderator, Tom Kwiatkowsky Sr., has passed away. Tom was a very motivated person and loved running the old message board on the 1941HAG website. Tom was my side kick in moderating us-aircraft.com too and it is a great loss. Tom was such a nice person that when he heard MY mom was ill and in the hospital he sent a get well card to her and he never even met her before! I always made sure to stop by and say hi to Tom at the Geneseo airshows. Toms wix handle is "Crusader1". We were both message board buddies. Me helping him out on the HAG board and him helping me and the us-aircraft board. I've never had anybody as good a friend as Tom was to me. My life seems a little more empty.......

Blue Skies Tom. :( I'll miss you.

Tom is second from the right. From a poster meet we organized on the HAG board. I think around 2005-2006.

A sad way to begin my day. Tom was a great fella who was passionate about many things. A proud American, heaven help the person who took a cheap shot at the USA, Tom would step up and defend his country without a moment's hesitation.

He was also very proud of his Polish heritage and we joked about that quite often when we would see each other.

While I am sadden at the passing of my friend I take great comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with his beloved Catherine who he missed very much since her passing.

The aviation world has lost a true fan and the grass at Geneseo will never be the same.

Jeff

Nathan, sometimes when we are alone we ask ourselves questions, 'am I a good person, have I lived a good life, have I done enough. Have I been good to my family and friends' When we think this way most of us tend to struggle with honest answers to the man in the mirror. I can assure you your dear friend Tom has looked in that mirror many times. I bet he has seen a smile more times than not. Mourn his passing for a short while, celebrate his life forever.

Condolences to all.

Good to see you back on WIX Nathan, a place you belong.

Really nicely put Mark.

Geneseo is such a special place. (I've been going since the mid 80's)

A few of the friends I've made have passed on but I always feel them with me as I walk on the grass every July.

Our condolences. We're definitely a small community and the loss of one of us is felt by all of us. God speed Tom.
