Crash on take-off resulting from premature retraction of landing gear
no casualties

On D-day she was CN #10 in serial #16 - Pilot : Major Irvin G. Anderson, CO of the 95th TCS - carrying paratroopers of 3rd Bn / 506th PIR / 101st A/B Div into Normandy, Drop zone "D"

Wreck of C-47 #42-100911 - 96 TCS - 440 TCG - Pilot : Capt Ulmer H. Nenon
The plane ground looped and crashed on take-off due to poor conditions on the runway.
no casualties

On D-day she was CN #25 in serial #16. Pilot : 1st Lt. Philip E. Curtis

Wreck of C-47 #43-16043 - 98th TCS - 440th TCG
The plane crashed on Take-off due to icing conditions on wings.
Crew and passengers ferried upon a wing mission escaped with minor injuries.
