Hopefully there is not an existing thread. I searched and did not find one.

There doesn't seem to be much information out on what aircraft may be coming to Oshkosh in late July this year.

One thing occured to me, with the apparent dearth so far of air shows with themes commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the last year of the Korean War, this would be a great year for AirVenture to have a Korean War theme for their warbird gathering. It would be great to see a good cross section of Korean War era prop and jet warbirds there this summer.

It would be great to see some unique airplanes at Oshkosh this year too if possible (Super Guppy, AN-124, A380, 747 Dreamlifter, etc.).

A major theme will be the 60th anniversary of the organization.

Yes, there is that one that covers the Mosquito and the philosophy of EAA AirVenture and how it may be changing, but this thread is specifically about what is planned for and may happen at Oshkosh this year.

I am not sure what that means as far as what kinds of warbirds or other aircraft may be coming to Oshkosh this year, but I hope it is a positive thing in that regard.

:)

I would love to see one in the air, but I don't know if any project is close enough to completion to be flying at an air show this summer.

Based on this schedule FIFI and Diamond Lil are scheduled.

http://www.airpowersquadron.org/#!schedule/c1yws

Looks like FIFI will do rides out of Appleton and Diamond Lil will likely be static for ground tours.

Seems it's about time to update this list.

Add along with those already mentioned...

B-17 Aluminum Overcast
B-17 Yankee Lady
B-25 Panchito
P-51C Red Tail
Tora Group

Other advertised attendees include:

Fagen Fighters Museum (probably P-40, P-38, P-51)
Lewis Air Legends (guessing "Glacier Girl" & ??)
Texas Flying Legends Museum (guesses anyone?)
Liberty Aviation Museum (guessing B-25 Georgie's Gal)

The full Warbirds in Review list isn't posted yet, but Warbird Heritage Foundation is reporting their F-86 will join Bob Hoover for part of it.

Rudy Frasca's a big supporter, so an extra P-40 or FM-2 is usually on hand.

Next. pop2

Thank you Dan!

Fagen Fighters will very likely have their latest P-40 restoration (a P-40K) at the show.

Thanks for the update, John...hard to tell current progress from the website.

And speaking of Fagen Fighters, what a great way to beat this year's extended case of Minnesota cabin fever:

VERY interesting! But not enough to convince me to make a trip to Wisconsin this summer. Now if the Collings Foundation were to send their entire contigent of Vietnam era jets up there, the F-4D, TA-4F AND the F-100F, and plan to fly them during the week.........that would be another story.....it would be very tempting then!

As reported on another thread, Conrad Huffstetler has indicated their recent FM-2 rebuild BuNo 86774 will be attending.

Warbirds in Review will have her displayed with Buno 57039, the Lake Michigan recovery that's been hanging out in Chuck Greenhill's hangar in Kenosha since December.
