2013 Heritage Flight Conference

Does anyone have the dates for the 2013 Heritage Flight Conference that is normally held at DMAFB in Tucson, AZ? It was the first week of January in 2012.

DRAW DECAL?! GREG?! As in.... Draw Decal Greg!? Hey! Glad to see you came out of the shadows! Bought a bunch of decals from you a few months ago. Haven't used them yet but if I have problems with them I know where to harass you! Glad to see you onboard. Now start doing decals of current flying warbirds in 1/144th scale!!!!

Yes, it is I, the decal guy. My father lives in Tucson, so I try and visit during the Heritage Flight Conference when I can. I missed the one in 2012, but caught the one in 2011. I am holding off booking my trip until I know the dates.

As for Warbird decals in 1:144, we have some, and others are coming.

I would call the base PAO on this one before making plans around it. Current USAF guidelines have pretty much shut down any non-essential flying. I am not sure if the heritage flight conference falls into that catagory or not but I would guess it does.

I heard from reliable sources at the Valiant Air Command - who puts on the TICO Warbird Airshow in Florida that Heritage flights have been cancelled for 2013. However they are working on a warbird heritage/legacy flight - A-4 with a Corsair.

From a very good source who was there, there were multiple P-51's, a P-40 and a P-38 at DMAFB this past weekend, and they were flying formation with USAF aircraft.

Last year when I sent a message to the DMAFB PIO about this event I received NO reply.

Seems weird there is virtually nothing posted about this event.
