Thanks for the info, but I didn't see it in the link you provided. Am I missing it?

I did a Google of the S/N of the bottom BT. It listed the Aviationarcheology.com webpage which I selected. I have a mac so I did a Command F key search on the page displayed and entered the S/N again and it found the info line for this accident.
I believe that was the web page html I copied but there is a chance I had looked for the other BT's S/N and copied the wrong address.

Hmmm... I didn't find the serial number on the page either. (I also used ctrl+F) I don't doubt that the information you supplied is correct, I just wanted to see what you found myself. I conducted a Google search for "BT-13A 41-21805" and got this, which cites Aviation Archeology as the source for its info.

Ah, here we go: AAIR Search Result For Serial Number: 41-21805. I searched the serial number you provided (obviously!).

How did you discover the 2 digit year-code/prefix?

Oh, and thanks. Maybe I'll try finding more info on some of the other photos using the Aviation Archaeology database if I have time.

They don't put the 1st number on the tail for AAC serials in WWII as a rule.
The 121805 becomes 41-21805.
Bald Eagle has 473029 on the tail but the S/N is 44-73029.
On the command F search it will drop the (-) and you need to add it back between the 41 and the 21805 or you could probably just drop the 41 and just search the page for 21805.
I found the AAHS page from a google search of 41-21805 BT-13.

Off the topic here. Don't want to start a new thread since I've 'overwhelmed' WIX lately lol. A couple of questions.

- What's a latest going rate for a P-51 ride these days. I'm seeing anywhere between $1,000.00 and $3,500.00.

- Same question for B-25's, B-17, B-24, just some rough estimates are fine.

- A couple of contacts would be nice too. I've got Collins, some CAF, POF I have. Can't think of anyone else off hand. (Xmas is soon  )

Thx Mark

Mark the current rates for rides in a 17, 24, 25 are between $375-$450 depending on how far in advance one makes reservations. It is definitely worth the $. Hope this helps you. :drink3:
