They are running an article on a "California Restoration Shop" that brings Beech 18's back to life.

I'm looking forward to the article.

Taigh, wanna share any of the revelations early? You know, just between us WIX'ers.

Just got a copy yesterday, it's in the January issue that has drones on the cover, and it's called "The Beech Boys" You can find the online version and all the pictures at: http://www.airspacemag.com/military-aviation/The-Beech-Boys-179523171.html

We must limit politicians to two terms:
one in office and one in jail.

Air & Space has been running some good pieces lately, their retrospective on the Bell 47 was excellent.

But...
anyone find the error in this article?

The story about how the Beech 18 got a raised roofline (to help increase the size of the bathroom...among other reasons) says it was prompted by Walter Beech getting stuck in the can.
Accprding to Larry Ball, Beech employee and author of 4 books about Beech aircraft, including The Immortal Twin Beech, relates the same story...but he saysit was Claude Palmer, Chief Demonstration Pilot who got stuck in the "john". I tend to believe that since Walter died in 1950 and the Super 18 (with the raised roofline) wasn't introduced for several years.

Again, if anyone knows different, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts. I'm here to learn.

I don't know, it was online.

I'm afraid I don't buy it, although I dig get it for my nephew when he was younger. It's a bit too general for my taste...I've always sid it reads like it was designed to be read in the dentists office waiting room. Not technical enough for my taste.
