I'm trying to research the pilots who trained on Tiger Moth 1136. I have a list of the names of all the pilots where at EFTS 33 in Caron during 1942 but no way of linking the pilots to the airplane. If anyone has access to the logbooks at the RAF museum please message me. We're trying to finish the story for next week's broadcast. Here's the basics about 1136:

D.H.82C / C1339
Ordered by USAAF as PT-24 42-1000; then to Lend-Lease as RAF FE136. Used at No. 33 Elementary Flying School at Caron, Saskatchewan. Had 2152:00 airframe time when struck off. Sold post war, to civil register as N82CS. Latest Certificate of Registration issued on 1 February 2000, registration still active 20 April 2005.

First date: 8 January 1942
Last date: 23 January 1945
Taken on strength /Struck off, later sold.

I have a Pilot's Flying Logbook issued by the Canadian Air Force to LAC Sharp S.A. serial number 980277 who has two entries on 17 Nov and 18 Nov 1942 for A/C Type: DH82C, No: 1136.
Entries are for Boundary Bay Flying School Ltd, No. 33 EFTS. Instructor was P/O Marsh and logbook was endorsed by F/O D.C. McNeil, OC "C" Flt No. 33 EFTS.
I do not know the course number at Caron but the final summary and assessment written in the logbook states the course began on 9-Nov-1942 and the pupil was signed off as an average pilot on 11 Jan 1943 endorsed by ?? Hayward, S/Ldr Officer i/c No. 3 EFTS Caron.
I can provide copies of any pages of logbook which might be of interest.

Matt,
Another RAF pilot who trained at Caron in 1942 (and probably 1136 since he was at Caron at the same time as LAC Sharp) was Flt/Lt Stanley Hayward who earned the Croix de Guerre from France for his efforts as a reconnaissance pilot during the Battle of Normandy. I seem to remember Stan telling me he was on course No. 67 at Caron. I guess you have the records to confirm that. He completed a tour of operations over NW Europe, flying 34 ops between June and December 1944 in No.34 (Recce) Wing with 2TAF. He remained as a staff pilot in 34 Wing awaiting conversion to Mosquitos and posting to the Far East for the war against Japan. The war with Japan ended before he was sent.

Matt,
I tried to email you the logbook, by replying to your email to me, but my email was returned as undeliverable. I tried to email again without the attachment and it was again returned as undeliverable. I telephoned you and left a message explaining that I could not contact you. Please email me with a different email account and I will try to send you the logbook again.
I am looking forward to seeing the student pilot lists from No.33 EFTS, Caron.
