No, Mike, the link is to the wrong clip.

If it was meant to refer to the recent piece on TVNZ's Closeup show I don't have a link handy (and am currently lying on a hotel bed in Luxembourg, struggling with an iPad).

It had better fly before Saturday, that it when it is scheduled to display! Media coverage tends to imply that Saturday is the first flight.

Edit: Due to checking Twitter before turning in, here's the link

Argh, you beat me to it Errol!

It's a lovely piece of news television, and one highlight for me was seeing how advanced Glyn's own project is. And to see him getting some well-deserved airtime.

The weather is looking reasonable for the next two days, test pilots David Phillips and Keith Skilling had turns at taxis and high power runs yesterday, and the NZCAA awarded the aircraft a Certificate of Airworthiness yesterday. A tantalising combination of factors!

We can only hope, TriangleP. My gut says she will fly today or tomorrow (Wednesday and Thursday NZ time). I hope to have a high definition video camera and a tripod to record at least one of the solo displays on Saturday. I won't bother with stills as there are at least four top-notch photographers who will be on hand!

I love Dave's comment at the end of that video

Very jealous of Dave, Warren and Keith. Unless I win the lottery - not likely as I've not ever bought tickets - this is the only way to experience that power and that cockpit. Amazing stuff. This photo from this morning by Colin Hunter shows the cowls are now on the aircraft: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= ... e=1&ref=nf

I'm so sorry I can't share photos - I'm watching all this unfold online as well - but there have been some marvellous photos and, yes, even video uploaded already. Hopefully they will filter on in a matter of time :-)

Rest assured she looks amazing, and right at home!

Simply magnificent. I cannot think of a more epic restoration project that has been completed. Wow!

Here's her taxiing in to Auckland Airport after the first flight. ASI stopped working so a precautionary landing with the T28 chase plane giving airspeed information alongside. Problem traced to hose leaking I understand and she flew again!
