As many of you have followed my threads on my B-29 Superfortress tail sections posted here:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=37777
and here:
http://www.questmasters.us/B-29_SUPERFORTRESS_1.html
http://www.questmasters.us/B-29_SUPERFORTRESS_2.html

I thought y'all would like to see the new (to me) B-29 Superfortress Nose that I just obtained. It is shown here with my M-9B Norden Bombsight and C-1 Autopilot.
Enjoy :drink3: :

If anyone has any leads to replacement glass (I have one NOS piece from Jay)....I'm all ears. I'm also looking for the Norden mount for the B-29 (I have the B-7...not shown in the picture) and the arm to hold the computing sight and the sight as well.....let me know. I'm also looking for other B-29 nose stuff. Thanks.

You've got a nose and a tail... I'm sure the rest will fill itself in in no time

Very cool, any back story on where it came from? Is that a bit of heat damage on the top right?

Yeah...only 80ish feet for the middle part and she is done!
I thought this nose section would display nicely with the tail....so I picked it up. It unfortunately has no history. The inside frame section has some corrosion that is consistent with exposure to water....but this could just be from water condensation. The top glass is cracked and has some delamination (that is the dark area you see in the picture). The bottom and side plexi has quite a bit of crazing which is very consistent to high heat damage. This piece comes via Nebraska.
