bombadier29,

Let me try to clear this up for you, and anyone else who might be confused or misled (and I can see where that might be the case. . . I'm not bashing anyone at all here).

Brad did not hold a job as a USAF B-29 flight engineer. He did hold a job as a USAF C-17 loadmaster. He became qualified as a B-29 flight engineer with the CAF while he was still on active duty with the USAF, and this event was not connected with the USAF in any way. He did this on his own time. The JOKE around here was that he was the "last B-29 flight engineer in the USAF" simply because he was qual'ed as a B-29 flight engineer and he was in the USAF, and since it was a pretty safe bet that there were no USAF-qual'ed B-29 flight engineers still active with the USAF, there was a natural joke to be made.

There's no skullduggery or misdirection here, just a plain ol' joke.
