If I remember the story correctly, he installed a single 'bench' length-wise behind the pilot seat running back. There were 'adjustable' seat backs that you could slide into place, then passengers 'straddled' the bench and leaned back against the seat back. Think of a 4-man bobsled.

He had to modify the turtledeck to accomodate the CF-100 canopy. Looked kind of goofy, but..........well.....it looked kind of goofy.

Ah yes...a 7 seat Firefly...modified to take a Merlin instead of a Griffon, with a hand-fabricated radiator intake (note the wing radiators faired over).
