Full Disclosure -
1. Took these from the back of the Military Aviation Museum's TBM-3E while heading to the Hamilton Airshow in June 2012. So strictly speaking, this wasn't "today" as the title reads.
2. Here's the link, but how does one post the actual picture?

OK, I surrender. I got the link to post, but obviously, there is a way to actually post the picture onboard the forum, rather than the link. Anyone willing to help tutor a computer illiterate? :?

on your photobucket page, it shows the two pictures that you want to post here. Hover your mouse over one picture, and it will show the links that you can use to post it. Click in the box that says "direct link" and it will copy this code: http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w50 ... anada9.jpg

That is the link that you will use. On the page here at WIX, there are several boxes that say B and i and other things. Find that one that says "Img" in it and click on it. Now you take your link that you copied from your photobucket page and paste it in between those two boxes with "img" in them. That will post your picture, like this:

Heard an 'odd' sound from outside, stepped out on the deck for a 'lookie loo' and flitting through the 50/50 overcast was a 787 @ about 7500 heading South to KPAE. Figured out that most of the low sort of 'thrumming' noise was from the inlet fan and the exhaust noise was closer to what you'd hear from a 767 passing overhead @ about 15000.

Went to Suffolk Va. airport yesterday to watch the Military Aviation Museum (Virginia Beach) take the ME-262 out for a little exercise. She sounds as good as she looks! :D

Thanks to Dave G for the tutoring on how to post pics!

Do you have a tail number for this aircraft?

I don't see anything on FA of it leaving- maybe it's still down at BLI?
I plan to head down that way this weekend, I'll see what I can see.

I completely forgot to update this. Sorry.
As you may have guessed- she was gone before I got there.
I'll keep an eye (and ear) out for her.
She's gotta go through here to get back to Alaska...

Flying east just south of Michigan City, Indiana at about 11 A.M. a P-51 with invasion stripes. Possibly coming from Osh. The Osh webcams show that a lot of planes have left , been hearing a lot more than usual of aircraft flying over.

About 1 P.M. travelling southeast over Gary Indiana it looked to be 2 P-47's, Possibly Hun Hunter and Wicked Wabbit , a B-17 and possibly a B-24 going south ,might be the Collings group going to Valparaiso ,Indiana they are to arrive there today. I believe the P-47's are to be at Thunder , maybe going home to Tenn. before Thunder. Heard a jet engine but was past the shop roof before I could see anything. Co-worker saw a T-28. Checked Osh's web-cams and the place is a ghost town.

"No Jake those aren't F-16s" He should know he worked on them for 25 years. A whole Squadron of Delta Wing Fighters landing at Kelly AFB. (Yes it still exists people). Had to go look ,..................Kafirs from FAC (Columbia) What they are doing in Texas is any bodys guess. Maybe they are invading!
Not invading, here for the first time to participate in Red Flag exercise. The whole squadron, maintainers, commanding General and all.

P-3 Orion on final for Dallas Love Field (KDAL) this morning about 0645-ish. Probably one of the "spook" ships that's based there.

At 2:25pm today, American Airpower Museum's P-47 was climbing through about 3,000 ft. heading in a southeasterly direction over the south shore of Long Island. Test flight, or heading to an airshow? Pretty cool......although I live about 6 miles from the museum I rarely see it in flight.
