Yes Glenn,I have been involved for about the last 4 years part-time doing sheetmetal work & painting.A lot of the hydraulic lines that were re-made I painted hence the request for tube ident labels. We have been held up recently due to a parts consignment doing a world tour instead of making it to Darwin, but it will fly eventually.Cheers,Pete

Hello Pete,

You answered my next question...........a van load of those parts were from me. I heard of the confusion and was curious to see if it ever got rectified.

Say hello to Graham and Knobby for me and tell them I found some more parts that I couldn't find when they were here..

Thanks,

Glenn

Hi BW,I assumed it would be available from a tubing fabricater or supplier as it appears all over the systems on recent aircraft like the Dash-8.Maybe this is a bad assumption, cheers,Pete

OZFuryFan,

You don't want to use the tape mentioned, the tapes came out later in the late 50's, early 60's using the NATO symbols. Your markings should be the same as what would be found in the back of the P-51 E&M, tape colors only no symbols.

Your best bet is to use 1/4 colored tape and then clear over that. Take a look at our -5 and there should be some photos of the correct markings.

Let Graham and Knobby know we said hello.
