The latest update/pictures below. This looks like a first class restoration. I wish they would have removed the antenna mounts on the nose and aft fuselage and not painted the exterior but I'm not paying the bills...

blasphemy I know, but the polished cowl ring look is begining to grow on me! Plus, woorking on the Sabre we got for the Wendover museum has given me a new appreciation for keeping aluminum polished and decent looking.

I can understand the paint from a long term corrosion control standpoint. However; the use of Pre-1947 National Insignia and Post 1947 "Obsolescent" style serial number ( i.e. 0-xxxxxxx) seem a little out of place for a National level museum.

Just sayin

At least it is one more that has been "resurrected"

Yes! Considering how long this B-29 was parked outside in the less than ideal weather conditions in Nebraska, I think it looks great!
