Well guy's I have met Phil Aka Liberator. And even when it's quite obvious that he is plagurising other sites. I certainly don't see any harm in that. Not everybody reads five different forums daily.
Yet various people take it upon themselves to initiate a conflict with him. Phil is harmless he likes to play dress ups and I'm sure if he misbehaves too badly his mother will send him to his room. So just cut him some slack read his posts have a giggle and be entertained.
Cheers,
Ash.

Mark Allen M wrote:Fella I'm really baffled by you, you seem to have some sort of an agenda to stir up trouble here on WIX and at the very least trying to piss a few of us off. Why the h*ll are you here if you seem to dislike and disrespect members? Are you having fun doing this? I'd just like to understand. At any rate I'm done with you, I need no more trouble with the management as I'm trying to be one of the "good one's" here. ... But I do have to say you're starting to bring out the past in me and no one wants that again. I'm going to try to ask you to settle down a little bit. The mods here won't put up with BS from anyone for very long. Trust me I know personally.

I’m not here to piss anybody off or dislike and disrespect members and I don't have an agenda. I’m also not here to make friends. I understand they have face book for that. I’m here to look at pictures, hear what’s going on in the warbird business, hear about airshows and reenactments, learn a few things I didn’t know and when I feel like it, contribute some stuff. So far, I haven’t felt like doing that too much. I’ve got a relative that was a B-29 bombardier and someday I might do a little research, through this sight, about him now that he’s gone. I’ve got a long history with aviation, civilian and government and it’s a pretty interesting story. I just haven’t seen a reason to tell it yet. I go way back with a large warbird organization that I was a member of. Work out of the country kept me from being involved on the level I wanted so I stepped away several years back. Since retirement, work and health have kept me from being able to get back to it. But I have been able to tour a lot of pacific North West museums and see some airshows while doing other business over the last couple of months and I hope to head to the Midwest later on.

Looking back through 4,000 pages of threads takes up a lot of time but I am still making headway. When somebody makes a post that I find interesting, for any number of reasons, I look back through their profile and see what kind of stuff they have posted before. I learn just about all I need to know about the people on this board that way. With the exception of the few wix people I’ve met at airshows, that is about the limit of my interest in the actual people. I’m here for the information, not the company and friendship.

What I’m noticing a lot more recently, compared to the last few years of posts I’ve been through is that certain people do nothing but post other people’s pictures that anyone could find with a fairly simple google search; and some people do nothing but regurgitate Baugher’s site but act like it’s their own information. Once again, a simple search would turn up the information, in dang near the same words! Another thing I notice some people do is get banned and just use a different name. Liberator/Daniel/HGU something and Hellcat/Mark come to mind. That’s just flat against the rules here and I don’t see how they are allowed to get away with it.

And, Mark, I notice you tend to post a lot about the way you used to post and act on this board. It smacks a little of somebody that was the star football player in high school and just can’t quit talking about the good old days. It’s gotten pretty old. Come to think of it, you should credit some of your words to the proper person. You said you are done with me and that is more than fine. I do wish you good luck with the management though!

By the way, you might consider referencing the source of this quote to avoid being accused of plagiarism.

It sounds a little like David Banner in The Incredible Hulk when he says, "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me angry." Just funnin with you son. Stay calm!

That's obvious  ... and the rest? Wow!!!!

And I am calm.

And to think all this crap started by me asking nicely for some guys to ease up on another member. Thanks for the PM's by some of you cool dudes and you guys were right, I should have stayed out of it and let the Mods do their jobs. My bad once again. WIX sure has some "interesting' characters" lurking around.

I`ll second that, I`ve met him too. Or might I suggest that no one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to read his posts. (and this forum has an ignore function)
I don`t know`whats worse Phil`s annoying post etiquette or all these dropkicks lining up to bash him.

Huh?.... being ignorant to all this other stuff... did somebody say there was a Sabre for sale in Australia?

Despite the link, I did a search on Barnstormer's & came up with nothing?

I'm interested in this, can anyone elaborate with some usefull info?

Thanks
Jason

Thanks... didn't search hard enough... who'd have thought it wouldn't be under "F-86"?

Pity for me it's not a CAC manufactured one.

Like Ashley and Simmo I to have met Phil aka Liberator aka Daniel.

He passionately loves his aeroplanes plus a little gossip mixed in. He is harmless.

We are not all blessed with the same social graces for many reasons.

I use to be like some of you in thinking less of Phil.....but having met him I changed because I then understood why......read between the lines guys on what I am typing and cut Phil some slack.

Thank you, couldn't have said it any better.

BTW I challange anyone here to state they haven't been interested or learned something about warbirds they didn't know before by some of Liberators posts. Isn't this what this site is all about?

I wonder if the F-86 might be one of these that flew with us out of Ubon

Hi Chief,
Nice pic! Those are CAC Sabres. The CAC aircraft had two Aden cannon and the RR Avon engine; structurally different to an 'F-86' (though adopted from the NAA design) and the term F-86 shouldn't be used for the CAC type - different beasties.

Part of the interest in the original ad (if only we'd started with that, how much more on topic things would've stayed!):
CANADAIR SABRE CL13 MK.6 • ACCEPTING OFFERS • Canadair Sabre CL13 Mk. 6 project. Fuese, wings, tail & U/C. No engine Perth, Western Australia • Contact Darius Pavri, Owner - located Jandakot, WA Australia • Telephone: +61 41 229 8822 . • Posted July 16, 2012

is that a F-86 or Canadair machine in Australia is rare to say the least. There's a good number of CAC Sabres, but other than this, no F-86s in Australia (or NZ either) IIRC that I'm, aware of.

Thanks aussiepby...

Regards,

I do solemnly swear that I have never been interested or learned anything about warbirds I didn't know from any of Liberators posts. I only read them because I read every post that goes on here, at least initially. Sometimes I read the first few messages and find out the thread doesn't interest me and I'll stop there.

But yes, I agree learning is mostly what this sight is about.

I think I understand what you are saying now. Thanks for being kind about it.

Outstanding!!! :drink3: ... that and getting along with others is also a part of this site. Good job bombadier. Now maybe we can all get along. What do you think? good idea? Lots to share and learn here. Sometimes it's good to have friends.

Now since you seem to not learn anything here why not try to teach some of us who are here to learn something. I got a feeling you have some warbird knowledge to share. Am I correct?

Mark (your new best pal)

On second thought never mind, you don't deserve friends here because your a total loser. Good luck with the management yourself. You're days are most likely numbered.
