Sabre jet for sale in Australia

Tue Jul 17, 2012 4:46 am

I have been told that there is a Sabre jet for sale in Australia..... it is possibly a CL.13 / Mk 6 variant with mostly intact fuselage and no engine.
My SMS message ddint say anything else at the moment but my spy who follows the forums more than me must know something.

I have looked at acquiring such an F-86 aircraft for some time.....for a future museum display.. might be my chance to try.Cheap freight...

Or, more likely, he saw it on barnstormers.com along with the rest of the world. That's a pretty effective spy you have there.

Yeah, but it always makes a better story when it's super-secret spy stuff! Just like the fact that there's a Tigercat under rebuild 'somewhere'

Geezes guys is this really necessary? Cut the guy some slack, so what if he doesn't phrase things to your approval. At least he's trying to contribute some interesting threads to some of us here on WIX. No wonder people leave and won't post anymore. They get tired of being ridiculed and mocked by some of you supposed know it alls. Maybe try to give a little credit, support and respect to some of us trying to contribute here. Hmmm!!! what a concept.

Again sorry for the rant to the rest of you. I'm still working on my new WIX temper transformation

See J. Cook, I still have some rant in me left ... lol

Fella I'm really baffled by you, you seem to have some sort of an agenda to stir up trouble here on WIX and at the very least trying to piss a few of us off. Why the h*ll are you here if you seem to dislike and disrespect members? Are you having fun doing this? I'd just like to understand. At any rate I'm done with you, I need no more trouble with the management as I'm trying to be one of the "good one's" here. ... But I do have to say you're starting to bring out the past in me and no one wants that again. I'm going to try to ask you to settle down a little bit. The mods here won't put up with BS from anyone for very long. Trust me I know personally.

Mods can you lock this one up? I see it going "further south" real quick and nothing good will come of that. Especially for me.

Folks, keep it civil please. Rather than locking the thread, I'd rather see people continue any discussion in a civil and respectful manner, remembering that there is a person behind every username.

Roger!!! and sorry for the rant, I'm just getting tired of the "Smart-*ss remarks by some people intending to piss people off for no good reason and make them feel like not posting anymore. The list of good guys leaving is getting long. I don't know the guy but Liberator means no harm to anyone here and for him to get sh*t on is inexcusable. I see it happening all the time here with him and others. Joking around is one thing (if you clearly state your joking and not intending to cause harm I got no problems with a little fun, I do it!) but to purposely try to make a fool of someone is only making a fool of yourself. I get PM's from guys telling me they have no interest in posting on WIX anymore for fear of some idiot trying to make them feel stupid. That's BS!!!

Once again I'll say it and sorry if I'm a bit pissed, but sometimes I'd like to reach in my monitor and rattle some peoples cages here

BTW Liberator (or whatever his member name is/was) has created more interesting threads than some of these guys combined. Leave the guy alone and put your mouth/keyboard to work contributing something positive and interesting to WIX yourselves.

While we're on the subject of buying and selling F-86s... I need a full set of main and nose gear doors for VFM's F-86F (doors from other models might work, too, but I'm not sure). And, I need a left wing tip cap for an F-40 model wing, preferably with the lights in it. Oh... and I need the right wing tip leading edge piece with the pitot tube. And some instruments, radio panels, a decent cockpit bubble, a bunch of parts for the nose gear leg (or a complete one), and probably other stuff that I don't know I need. Airworthy is not required, but would be fine.

Donations, please, since we have no money for this project... :(

Perhaps if you were here a bit longer you will know why 'Liberator' (and his several other user names on various boards) doesn't get cut any slack. He has 'earned' the contempt he gets here and elsewhere through years of effort, despite good advice from many.

He is a try hard I will give him that.

Oh Dave that's BS!!!!! and you know it!!! And I've been around a long time too. And I've been banned a couple of times too for not understanding internet forums and having thin skin etc. etc. it's all just BS, no one deserves to be made a fool or ridiculed. Not you, not me, not Liberator. Everyone can change for the better if only some of you hard-*sses get off your high horses and give people a chance. Not everyone is a scholar, spelling champion, warbird pilot/owner, author, magazine writer, restorer whatever else you want to list. Some of us simply want to learn some things we didn't know before and try to contribute a small amount that maybe others here may enjoy.

I'm here to tell you I've learned to respect internet forums (especially WIX) and to simply try to be nice and get along with others. I'm not doing it for you or anyone, I'm doing it for me. I think I've done a good job lately. Why not give Liberator and a few others here a chance too.

Very long rant now over. Sorry guys I slipped a bit today. :(

CDF I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you or anyone else here. I said what I said and I'm done. And I sent all your knucklehead PM's to the mods so they can deal with you instead of me. Trust me you wouldn't be mouthing off if you were standing in front of me.

Nor a certain guy that broke the sound barrier but most people seem to have no problem with that. Sorry just couldn't resist pointing out that little inconsistency.
