Yeah, how many threads start that way?

Well, anyways, if I had money I would certainly look into buying these two:

Image
$210,000
http://www.courtesyaircraft.com/Current%20Inventory/N50RT%20Japanese%20Zero%20Replica.htm

Image
$199,000
https://www.barnstormers.com/classified_654239_TORA%21+Movie+Zero+V-107.html

Is it just me, or isn't it interesting that both of these replica Zeros, (Both geared and in basically the same shape) are about the same price, AND for sale right now? Is there a market on the airshow circuit for these two Zeros, (Maybe painted in Pearl Harbor colors)? I know of course the Tora team are the masters of this domain, BUT they can only really be in one place at a time right? And there's a alot more airshows out there. SO without stepping on the Tora team's toes, could there be a successful airshow act here? Of course money, organization, staffing, insurance, hangar, etc. ALL THAT providing.

And if so, would it be even better if this one was added too?

Image
$875,000
http://www.courtesyaircraft.com/Current%20Inventory/N11FE%20Grumman%20Eastern%20Aircraft%20FM-2%20Wildcat.htm

Zero 1: $210,000
Zero 2: $199,000
Wildcat: $875,000

Total: $1,284,000 (Without all that other BS added into it)
More Accurate Total: $2,000,000

the zero looks to be affordable than most houses chris. If you dont get married and have kids you could probably get one. I'd love to have that wildcat screaming by at airshows chasing those zeros away. Remember, it never costs ANYTHING to dream

If I had two million laying around, I'd buy one of the Wildcats on Courtesy and the TBM "Ida Red." :supz:

I like your idea though. It would be fun to put together a dogfight routine for airshows.

If I had the money i'd buy a corsair of course. Then i'd restore the curtis hanger and tower/ operations building to ww2 configuration. Then I would buy the musuem all the equipment it needed so nothing would have to be shipped out. Then I would go on a massive corsair part hunt and buy all of that too. I would attempt to have a flying team of corsairs,(4,) for airshows but all would be stationed in stratford. Then I would hire you full-time and your dad as " Technical corsair specialists" NO you cant play guitar while working

That seems like an awful lot of fun and good times for the price.

Chris,
You can get a pretty good bass line going with correctly tensioned elevator cables using the fuselage frames as frets geek

Here's a nice photo of another great Zero replica, seen at my local airport a couple of months back. This is the aircraft that was formerly based in Australia. http://www.airliners.net/photo/CCF-Harv ... 34ed5f962d

John,

I was thinking about this airframe too when it was on the market. Now imagine if that gentleman who purchased that Zero, had the foresight (and money) to purchase these two! Three Zeros??! Now were talking...

Now thats a music video waiting to happen! copyrighted

Off Topic: It's always a been a blast playing music wherever I go. We're just so lucky to have a "jumpin" place like Acoustic Cafe in our backyard. If you guys are ever interested in listening to some of our recordings, almost every Tuesday (open mic night): http://groundunderstudios.com/
Note: We record every Tuesday we get, so the talent is of (every week status). Just want to soften the impact.

The first Zeke, 02-888 is quite a work of art. I got to see her close up when I went to see his Spitfire run-up and flight. A show quality bird....gas guns too! :D
