There's a guy who shows up @ SOVRN clasic sports car racing events @ S.I.R. in Kent, WA. with a white Stude DAYTONA that runs in B/P with the big bore/Trans Am classic racing sedans and old NASCAR stockers.

Ahhh, yes-- race #11. The 'story' behind it is entertaining at best, but they let him run it- so it's all good!!!
I know of it. There is a car sitting in my backyard missing a front clip because of that car!!!
Well, actually it's because of what another car did to that car, but anyway...
Here's an old picture of that 1964 Daytona~

My brother used to crew one of the teams that raced in a different class in SOVERN (http://www.sovren.org/).
His old team's website (http://www.t-zeroracing.com/) has something on the topic of WarBirds in civilian paint.
