Isn't Roush going to have his 2 from across the field? he has one of the few B models out there with Old Crow.

Anything else get added aircraft wise? the site hasn't been updated in ages in terms of aircraft list

Good. That makes 18 Mustangs. Hopefully, a couple more will join the cause and push the total to 20.

Cheers,

Well, at least 16 Mustangs as flyers. Would be great to get 18 to 20 flyers in the air at the same time. It should be a very good show. Looking forward to a flying B-29, a P-38, a P-47, a LOT of P-51's AND a flying Sabre!

A couple more Mustangs and a couple more non-Mustang warbirds added to the performing aircraft list would be Great!

Just 6 1/2 weeks to the show!

What 2 new B-25s?

Georgie's Gal and Briefing Time have been on the list for a few months.

Briefing Time comes every year also, at least all of the years that I have gone - between 2005-2011 I only missed 2007.

Sorry if I missed that. Maybe I didn't look at the list (which didn't change for a long time each time anything was added) frequently enough. I was under the impression those two B-25's were added to the list pretty recently. Oh well, whatever.

The only year you missed was the year they had 15 B-25's. I have been there over the same period 2005-2011, but missed 2008 and 2009.

I am not a big B-25 fan, but I like to see as much variety as possible. It is looking like this year may not be one of the best ever for Thunder over Michigan, but we could still see some more additions over the next 6 weeks and I am still looking forward to a great warbird show.

Yeah I think the last update was in April or so, but I think that the B-25s were on there from even the original update. I love B-25s but I couldn't take off from vacation that year and fly up from Florida like I do every year - I didn't have enough vacation hours built up at my then new job.

2008 and 2009 were good years also. 2008 highlights from what I remember were 4 B-17s and 2 B-24s. I think that was the year with the T-2 that was supposed to do a Legacy flight with an F-18 but the F-18 kept breaking down. They had 4 P-47s also show up that year and there was a nice 4 ship P-47 formation (6 were supposed to show). A lot of planes cancelled though because a major storm front went through Detroit area on Thursday night and that prevented pretty much a lot of stuff coming from the east or south of flying in Friday.

2009: had the Lancaster a couple Spitfires, Hurricanes, RAF Mustang and Corsair from Hamilton come in and they did a Battle of Brittain show as well as a loose formation in the end. There was a pretty good Vietnam reenactment with 3 Skyraiders, AC-47, Huey and a few other Vietnam era planes. Blue Angels that year too. I split shows that year as I went to Dayton on Saturday and Thunder on Sunday.

JWC50 - William Ward's MiG-21 will be showing up at the Jackson County Airport in September from what has recently been said and will be based there. His MiG-17 is there now completing it's annual and will be based there as well.
