When I was in the Air Force, I flew on a T-43 that had been converted to all passenger configuration.
Nothing special, no VIP treatments. That was assigned the USAFA (and crewed by Colo ANG) for trips and made available to MAC for various purposes.
Don't assume all military VIP jets are for Generals and fitted out like a bizjet.

Likewise, the C-21 I flew in was hauling the AFMC/CC...in fact he was fliyng it on that leg, but inside was nothing luxurious. Six seats, no steward, no booze, no frills.

Spotted Friday evening in a beautiful early evening sky...
Four Stearmans (USN colors) flying formation.
They're friends and part of a local formation team, they were doing a flyover for the season opener for the minor-league baseball team.

The two T-43's now used by EG&G were on the production line @ the same time that the two EX FRONTIER (original itteration) 737's used by EG&G. The ex FRONTIER airframes had well over 52000 hrs. when they went to the beer can factory, and were among the very few passenger configured airliners in use in the U.S. that still had open hat rack's not door type bins, and the two T-43's in the exchange had under 5000 hrs.

An odd sight at night (6/22/2012)... 3 aircraft in formation.
Two of the aircraft had standard red beacons, nav lights.
The 3rd had only a red flashing beacon. What's odd, is I think the third aircraft was a drone or UAV.

The suspected Drone with one aircraft at it's approximate 6 o'clock, and the other at the drones' 9:30ish o'clock.
Estimate altitude at 6000', 250kts. Headed NW, then made a turn to the west, maintaining relative position to each other. Could discern only jet engine noises.

Central NC, near KRDU

Yesterday-Sunday 6/24/12 at 4:30 pm 6, T6's or thought to be T-6's heading south from Kansas City. At 4:30pm they left the city limits. Does anyone know who they were?

Yesterday evening just before sunset, stepped out the back of my workplace, here comes CWH's Lancaster at low level over the trees, northbound off the lake, executes a 180-degree turn, low golden sunlight shimmering off the satin finish black undersides, Merlin quartet blaring, heads back southward to the lakefront and out of sight...in both senses of the term! Whew, what a thing to see (and hear) near the end of a busy workday. Living in Hamilton I've seen the Lanc in the air quite a few times in her now nearly quarter-century of flying with the Museum, but I can tell you it never gets old and never will...
