P-63 Folks:

Good day!

Anyone knows the status of a P-63E fuselage & couple of spare P-63 parts stored at Gosshawk?

The P-63 bare metal fuselage used to be at one time on the yard. Any close-ups of this airframe/parts will be appreciated.

Tks in advance

I assume you mean these? I took these pics 10+ years ago when visiting Champlin (before the collection was moved)

Good day!

Yes! Those are the fuselages!Nice pics. Tks!

One of them is the former CAF N9004R /FAH 404 that cought fire in-flight c Apr 1964 in Mercedes, TX. The second sample is the poss FAS 402.

Did you take close-ups of the wings on the floor also?? Do you live nearby for some other shots?? Where are these fuselages now??

Tks in advance

Hi zorro7,

What info do you need? I have a flying P-63F in the hangar that we just spent two years reassembling.

Thanks!

Ray:

Good day!!

Congratulations on that great restoration effort on your CAF P-63F!

These are some of the close-ups that I'd like to have for my P-63E/F research:

1 Pictures of how the main struts attach the wing itself.

2.As you look fwd sitting aft of the main landing gear cavities: Plz see if you can read what are the numbers R/L stamped on the main wing spar??

3. Close-ups of 3 mod ID plates on the R/S of fuselage only. One is aft of the cabin,2nd, aft of the engine & the last one next to the R/H stab. They are about 2 inches each. They may be covered with paint. I'm looking for the E-X numbers on each plate.

4. Close-up of th Bell ID plate in the cockpit & doors.

5. Any idea of the whereabouts of the 2nd P-63F built by Bell??

Tks for your time & attention

Here's the one pic I took of the wings. These were taken about 10 years ago, I was visiting in the area. Sorry, that's all the info I know. I do recall that the info posted next two these stated they were recovered from Russia/Soviet Union.
