Hello All,
I am in the process of building a flight simulator model of the CAF's B-29 "FIFI" on their behalf. I have a few photos of the bomb bay doors but need a few more if anyone has some they'd be willing to share. Most of the shots I have (or have found) of the bay doors are taken at weird angles do to the cramped nature of open doors on the ground. I could really use shots of the interior side of the doors and especially any of doors removed from the aircraft.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

David

Just GOOGLE IMAGED B-29 bomb bay doors, ain't much to see, of the doors shown including a couple inside a closed bomb bay shows plain old smooth sheet aluminum riveted down over unseen substructure. Kind of like the main gear doors which are also double sided and smooth inside.

Crude shots I took inside the Enola Gay's bomb bay that show some of the doors and stencils. I hope it helps

You probably already have this one. Early electric doors with jack screws

"Crude" is fine :) These are most helpful! Thanks Taigh!

BTW, here are a couple of screen shots of my work in progress. Items in red need to be textured (painted) and some parts are obviously still missing.
