On June 4, 1972, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum flew our first aircraft, a Fairey Firefly. Museum co-founder, Dennis Bradley, flew the Firefly for several years until moving on to the Corsair, B-25, Anson, P-51 & A-26. He is seen below pictured in the early seventies with the original Firefly.

Today, exactly 40 years to the date, James Bradley ripped up the grey skies over Hamilton Airport in the Firefly to celebrate the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's 40th Anniversary. In the back of the Firefly, his Dad, Dennis Bradley, co-founder of the Museum going for his first flight in the Firefly as a passenger. A large crowd showed up as well as the media. Nothing beats the sound of Rolls Royce Griffon! Nice passes too!

Oh now that is just too fricken' cool!! :drink3:

Looking forward to seeing the Firefly and the rest of the CWH collection take to the skies in a couple weeks. I even bought a brand new camera for the occasion (my first DSLR.)
