What is the thinking on contenders for the big prize this year? Lewis's Tomahawk seems like the one to beat, but are any potentially winning restorations being finished up?

A-36A restored by AAS perhaps?

Any word on the progress of Tri-State's Kittyhawk repair?

I'd hope we'll be seeing the P-51D restoration, "Passion Wagon", by Midwest Aero (keeping with one every other year, since 2002), and it sounds like Conrad Huffstutler's authentic and very detailed FM-2 restoration may be debuting at the show as well.

Also, although this is way out there as I haven't heard anything about it, I wonder how close Pacific Fighters P-51B restoration "Berlin Express" is to completion? Both the wings and the fuselage/tail were looking very complete in the last photos I saw of it (as of late last year).

Those of you who follow EAA's Airventure news page, http://airventure.org/news/latest.html, might have noticed last week that a link was posted to download the poster for this year's adventure, but it led to a 404 error. The link was misspelled; I've figured out the correct link and it's:

http://airventure.org/news/2012/120531_poster.html

It's a nice poster featuring the CAF's redtail Mustang.

The PV-2 listed is apparently "Attu Warrior"--first trip to Airventure.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I feel a Harpoon formation flight is definitely in order.

Just a heads up, The Warbird Rescue gang will be there and we will be displaying pieces of Lacey Lady. The B-17 on the gas station. We will also have shirts for the Lady that can be had for a donation. The plan is to take her down this summer and move her to a hangar. Stop by and say hi.
