Good afternoon Ladies and Gents, since Russ has posted some cool photos of his Camel and Baby and Chip Burt's Pup, I thought it might be appropriate to post a few pics of the Project we're finishing up at Golden Age Air Museum. "We" (meaning Paul Dougherty Jr. and help from us) finished a Full Size Rotary powered Fokker Triplane last year and this year should have our full size Pup flying very soon.

Very Nice!! It's always a tough decision to cover all that beautiful hand fitted wood but the results are spectacular   geek pop2

Thank you gents, you are correct though it is very difficult to cover all of the gorgeous woodwork but hey it has to FLY! LOL. All the flying wires and cables are wrapped and soldered or 5 tuck spliced.

A gentleman named Greg, stopped by today after a request to take some tintype photos of our Triplane replica. the above photos are the result. Interesting in the photo is the color of the upper wing. compare to these photos Hard to believe it's the same airplane!

Another profitable weekend, we had quite a bit of help rib stitching taping and working on the baffling.

Here's a shot of all in the family rib stitching. Brian and Ruthann Bell and Neil Baughman. (Neil and Ruthann are bro and Sis).

Image

Also here are Joe Parkinson and Bud adding the Riv-nuts to the engine baffling.

Image

Here's some detail shots of the gas operated machine gun plumbing. Without all the help this project would not be advancing as well as it is.

Lastly, Here are the upper wings in cover waiting for rib stitching (finished and taped today.) Mike O'Neal and one of his Students David helped in a large way on the rib stitching. (Mike is an indispensable member of the Group!)

Gorgeous work! It's great to see the Pup getting such attention around the world, and it will be great to see such a lovingly built example fly for the first time.

That Dreidecker is gorgeous, BTW. I really like that first photo of Greg's. Very clever and period!

Toward the end of July I'll have the family with me on a trip to Hershey PA, I'd like to stop by the museum on the way home. Do you guys fly anything on the weekends? Any special events coming up? I thinking our trip would be the last Saturday in July.

Please let me know.

Pete
