Jimmy, you & Tom looked great in your flyover today, as always when I see Mustangs on TV, I was jumping with joy, just too bad the "Talking Head" on TV called you guy's "Single Seat BOMBERS". My late father, a 111 combat mission P-51 pilot would have had a come apart, had he heard that. Good Job guys!!!! :drink3:

It was Tom's son, Dan Friedkin who flew Fragile but Agile.

Well, if that's an A-36A as it appears to be, actually at least that one sort of was a "single seat bomber"...though I've no doubt not one pilot on any A-36 unit viewed the aircraft thus!

Todays flight was 2 P-51Ds with an A-10 and a F-16.
From The Heritage Flight Facebook page-

From what I understand the ground attack role the A-36 played was done with gusto. They trained for it and also had the ace in the hole of being able to dogfight as well.

I believe that photo was from the Heritage Flight Conference that was held at DMAFB in Tucson AZ a few months ago.
It was used as a publicity shot.

There are at least a half dozen different videos of it on youtube. Type 2012 Indy 500 flyover in the search and you will get more than one page of results.
