BTW: Phot 13....I wonder if that is from the Lancaster squadron (617, IIRC) postwar tour of the US?

The ground look like the USA more than the UK.

Yep! While the rest of the aircraft appear to be retract equipped Grumman F3F's the "slot" aircraft is something else. Possibly a Vought SB3U?
