I see no azzhattery from the news people in regard to that headline... it is accurate and to the point.

Some of the information in that somewhat poorly-written article, however... not so accurate.

Also, someone should clue Ms. Jay in to the fact that the plural of the word 'aircraft' is 'aircraft'.

I digress...


Too bad 'Lil' got pranged... I was looking forward to seeing her in a little over a week. Bummer.

But I'm happy to know that nobody was hurt, and that's what truly matters at the moment.

That is going to require a fair bit of work to repair.Good thing it didnt get the engines and props.

The grammar and sentence structure in that article is awful. I've heard they had some nose wheel failures on B-24s in military service, I wonder if that is closer to what happened. The picture would have been perhaps of more use without the text.

No tramp stamped worked wonders on this one. WWII era plane belonging to Carolina Aviation Museum!!! Maybe it works so well not having the stamp we can now remove them all. A man can hope can't he?
You know if the stamp was on her there would have been a close up of it for over half the broadcast.

I guess it won't be at Reading for the WW2 weekend in a few days. They had listed 9 flights and and 5 were sold out and the rest had openings. FIFI will be there I hope , and it's flights were being sold out plus the B-17still had openings and I would imagine those with B-24 flights better get on the phone with the the other warbirds if they really want to fly at Reading. I got Panchito, Friday at 9A.M.. Glad nobody was hurt, maybe a change of underwear, then some cold longnecks.

I had read on another site that the Hydraulics failed after a flap position change.
The mains were locked by the emergency extension system, but the nose did not lock.
There will be some serious sheet metal work to do, when they get it home. It could have been worse.

Nice job folks, hope she gets back up soon.
