If you want to see Convairs (and DC-6s) in a film, try the early 50s comedy
Three Guys Named Mike.
New stewardess, Jane Wyman, is chased by three guys...a pilot, a businessman and a penniless college professor...guess who she picks?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLXB4JZ1ev0Fun to see new American Airlines Convairs in action. They use the forward right door for servicing & boarding and it has built-in power stairs. Didn't know they still boarded on the right, just like AA's DC-3s.
It's a bit of nostalgia to when people got dressed for fltying, you weren't patted down and the planes were nicer than third world busses.
