Convair in movie

Saw a movie that featured a Convair called View From the Top about flight attendants. I only saw the first 30 min, but it was funny. Anyone know whose Convair.

If you want to see Convairs (and DC-6s) in a film, try the early 50s comedy Three Guys Named Mike.
New stewardess, Jane Wyman, is chased by three guys...a pilot, a businessman and a penniless college professor...guess who she picks?

Fun to see new American Airlines Convairs in action. They use the forward right door for servicing & boarding and it has built-in power stairs. Didn't know they still boarded on the right, just like AA's DC-3s.

It's a bit of nostalgia to when people got dressed for fltying, you weren't patted down and the planes were nicer than third world busses.

Or, if it won't make your fillings ache, the Doris Day movie 'Julie' where she as a flight attendant has to land the 'Amalgamated Airlines' DC-4 she's on at a very baren looking SFO.

It was N636X which I think is now grounded (Camarillo ?).

Anyway a movie with both Gwyneth Paltrow and Christina Applegate in bikinis can't be all bad, now can it ? :)

The all-time classic is of course The High nd the Mighty. Watch for the Duke's version of CRM  .
