Calling all Houston Area WIX Warbirds fans- WINGS screening

Tue May 01, 2012 11:17 pm

Me lady told me that the movie WINGS is playing at the Memorial City Cinemark-

WINGS showing May 16, 2pm & 7pm,

We are going to the 7:00 PM screening.

It is way too cool NOT to show up and see if you are able.

Eddie Rickenbacker, Frank Luke, Elliot White Springs, G-8 and his Battle Aces and a host of other WWI Warbird drivers will smile down upon you.

Carry on,

SPANNER

Very Cool. They talked about that movie on CBS Sunday Morning a few months ago. It looks really good. Great aerial footage! The two main actors received about 5 hours of flight instruction so they could be in the cockpit for the close-up flying scenes. 5 hours and off they go!

Can't beat Clara Bow either!

No way I can make it. Thankfully, I have it at home on VHS (and a VHS player too). Has a magnificent Wurlitzer sound track, all I need is pop2

We had a screening of Wings last month in Hondo. Pop corn, a coke, and a flick...5 bucks. "Thirty seconds over Tokyo" in two weeks, the week of our fly-in.
