Rep Turner on the take from the USAF Museum?/Ohio apologies

Sat Apr 21, 2012 7:51 am

Sorry for the rant...but i just can't help myself after sending off a note to Rep Graves to defeat this bill...been reading the other posts on this topic.

:axe:

Just another sign that after moving back to Ohio so my wife can be with her parents that we ought to pack things up and head south again.

Im filled with shame that a Rep from my current home state would propose such outlandish legislation; Ive been reading the other links and it looks like it may not harm flying aircraft but don't be surprised that this morphs into something bigger at the last moment.

After going to the USAF Museum for over 50 years (including when it was on-base for those of us tenured enough to remember it) I quit going in protest of the local Ohio judge ruling in favor of the USAF Museum acquiring the P-82 despite clear proof of ownership. The only thing I can figure is that Rep Tuner is in cahoots with the USAF museum...likley over sour grapes they didn't get a shuttle.

I want to apologize to everyone on the WIX board for the behavior of my home state that also brought you such stellar items as:

+ Airborne Express being shut down and Wilminton is used now as a backdrop for economic downturn
+ Jim Trafficant
+ The Jerry Springer Show
+ The gas-powered bar stool
+ High taxes
+ NCR and Tupperware moving their HQs to Atlanta
+ Casino in a former auto plant
+ The former North American Aviation facility now be used to process government health care claims
+ Zero economic growth

Will the last person in Ohio that wants to generate economic growth please close the door on the way out...

Sorry for the rant...just had to get this out of my system

Yeah it couldn't of had anything to do with the CAF not owning the P-82.

To add to your list:

Phil Donahue (some of you are old enogh to remember him).
And the fact that some of the Wright Brothers sites are in a very bad part of Dayton...This day and age, there is no excuse for having a bad part of any town...

But on the bright side, Roy Rogers was born in Ohio. Real name is Lenard Franklin Slye. He reinvented hinmself, much like Clint Eastwood's Bronco Billy character.

At least you have a Chic-Fil-A! Years ago there was one in the glass city (yes they still call Toledo that) and then one day it was gone. :drinkers:
