Mirage? Common?

Wed Mar 28, 2012 12:39 am

I saw this yesterday, and I would like to ask if someone can explain it.

Driving South on Hwy 3, IL, I noticed this airplane flying West to East. It was early in the morning, and
the sun was not high over the horizon. What caught my attention was, that you could see a thin shadow ahead of the jet, and since the airplane was flying towards the sun, the shadow should project behind it, not ahead...

Anyone has a good explanation for this?

Thank you.

Saludos,

Tulio
