This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

If anybody happens to have any pre-1995 Warbirds of America, older CAF Dispatch or Aeronews Photo magazines, I like to discuss a price with you!

Same here. Why is that? You guys would shoot me if you knew what I've thrown away.

I believe my last post on this subject came off a bit callous. Here’s my saga:
1. Load up car with boxes. Let everyone take what they want for free after the meeting. Unload car with boxes when I get home.
2. Load up airplane with boxes to sell at shows to raise a little money for the organization. Unload airplane with boxes of now dusty magazines at the end of the season that everyone has rifled through. Mission accomplished on raising little money. Was 50 cents each too high?
3. Guy who runs the FBO doesn’t want a bunch of magazines for the pilot’s lounge.
4. Girlfriend makes the perfectly logical observation that I have no right to complain about all her stuff in the garage with all those boxes of magazines in there that I never look at (I pulled all the ones I really wanted during slow times at shows).
5. Try to sell parcels of them on eBay. Engage in lengthy emails such as “The 1979 issue of Airpower you listed with the F-100 article was actually a two part article. Is the one you are selling the one with the pilot report?” After confirming that it indeed was, the buyer decided that the shipping cost was too high for the parcel, and would I consider selling him just that one issue off eBay. A great way to get kicked off eBay for a couple of bucks.
6. Set out boxes for the garbage man. Grade school age kids ask if they can take what they want. Hopes for next generation rose to great heights.
7. Hopes for next generation dashed after noticing magazines all over the yard and blowing down the street.
8. Hopes for my peaceful coexistence with neighborhood dashed after lady down the street becomes seriously torqued when her 10 year old brings home a copy of Rolling Stone with Marilyn Manson on the cover. I had tossed in a few dozen issues into the mix when I set them out, and quite honestly forgot about them.
I would have let you guys have whatever you wanted for just the shipping, but I wasn’t on WIX. I wear Ribbons of Shame.

What you guys need to do is scan the magazines into PDF format and then trash the magazines
