Who said anything about sleeping? And why would it have to sleep at a museum? Once it is at our museum, may i ask you to sponsor the first flight hour? Won't be cheap, but will be loud and fun...

And having seen AN-2's fly, one turn around the patch should toast that hour completely

No doubt! The first time I flew a 450 Stearman, I thought on take-off "wow, this bird is like an escalator". But the first (and only) time I flew an AN-2, I thought "wow, this thing is like an elevator!"

Back on topic, I too am intrigued about what the "acquisition" is...I was thinking an NP-1 but I believe you already have one of those.

Yes, DB2, we've got the NP-1. It is sitting nicely cared for in the museum. Climate controlled. We pull the prop through periodically. Part of me would love to fly it, the other part of me knows that the average person wouldn't know the difference between it and a Stearman. And as the last of its kind, it's hard to risk it too much...

More news once I have things nailed down.
