Another New A26 for Australia ??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another A26 - perhaps - a good rumor circulating downunda at present is that in addition to the new Randal McFarlane machine a second is on the way - It is to be hoped this is true - I would assume it will be another Canadian firebomber and the ID of the new owner is unknown.

Anybody heard anything - Things are really getting interesting down here at present

Regards
john P

There was an A-26 at the Chattanooga Air Show this past weekend ("The Spirit of North Carolina") and I was talking with one of the crew members. We were talking about repairing and replacing parts. He mentioned that the nose wheel was the toughest thing to find but then kind of off-handedly said that a bunch of ex-fire bombing Invaders had just been "sold off" and would be "around" soon. He said that some are in flying condition and I had the impression that he felt that some would be available for spare parts for other Invaders.

I should have asked more questions!

Airspray Ltd. Unfortunately most of their spares were lost in their hangar fire.
