Unusual Industrial Park Find

In an industrial park near Tulsa I noticed two Hawker Hunter partial fuselages in rough shape, an A-7 cockpit section that looks like it's been fixed up for display, and an SNJ fuselage that appeared to have damage from a wreck. The business didn't look like it was aviation related so I don't know what the aircraft stuff was for.

Interesting, BUAERNO 27842 c/n 88-13578 was given to Spain and coded C6-159. Was preserved @ Cuatro Vientos in June of 2004 coded as C6-35, so the BUAERNO on this SNJ-4 (?) is someones fantasy, and the N number has been suspended or cancelled by the FAA.

Nice job of demiling on that Hunter too.

In related news, I was at Saugus Speedway swapmeet (SoCal) on Sunday & noticed a rather large/old helicopter fuselage lent up against the side of a nearby building... checking GE ...

Man, I logged a lot of Saturdays @ Saugus Speedway 40 years ago, my 1st ex grew up in Acton & Canyon Country & we lived (!?!) in Lancaster back when it was tiny and Locoweed was building the DC-10 copies.

Reference comments on SNJ-4 BuNo 27842....I sold the remains to Ken Sciog of Niagara Falls during 2011. I had obtained it in 1970 and have sat on it since until last year. I too looked up info on the aircraft in Baughers website and scratched my head. I sent in a photo to the editor of Warbirds International to see what info I could find. The photo along with editors reply were printed in the Sept/Oct 2010 issue Of Warbirds - the editor indicating ID swaps or data errors during transfers happen on occassions.....

The A-7 cockpit I think is the one for sale on ebay, or was for a while. Not sure though.
