Saw this on Barnstormers:
http://www.barnstormers.com/Helicopter, ... ifieds.htm

It appears to be in Spain.....scam? Noticed there were no pictures of the actual helo itself other than the data plate. Even if you go to their website, they only show USN file photos, nothing of the actual helo allegedly being offered for sale.

I saw some photos there that looked like the actual helo undergoing some form of restoration.
The engine looked fresh.
Since its in Spanish I am assuming this is the actual A/C-

This has been for sale for quite some time (a year?) and there are photos of the actual HO3S on the "maintenance" (Mantenimiento) page. I alerted the aviation curator at the USS Midway museum about the sale a long time ago as I knew they were looking for one. Don't know what the asking price is but, if Midway can't afford it...

Certainly is the genuine article. Since it was accepted by the USN on the 18th of April 1949, it was used by HU-1 at Miramar from 31 July 1950. It became part of CVG-102 which sailed from San Diego for action in the Korean theatre 10 May 1951. Flew from USS Bon Homme Richard, before returning home for overhaul in December 1951. It went back out for another tour on BHR in March 1952, then based at Yokosuka, Japan. When it returned back home in February 1953, it was assigned back to HU-1 at Ream Field. After service at NAAS Monterey is was finally retired by the Navy in June 1956.

It has been at Sabadell (near Barcelona) since September 2005 at least.
It was last civil registered in Portugal as CS-HAE.
