The video is deceiving to some extent. A lot of the dirt flying was from the rotors impacting prior to the aircraft itself. Most helicopter accidents are extremely "dynamic" due to the rotors, but this is typically a VERY good thing. It means the impact energy is being dissipated through those moving parts instead of through the occupants. Just as with auto racing, the aircraft accidents you need to be scared of are the ones that don't look very violent. They're the ones where the occupants take all the impact.

I know about this > < much about helicopters, but the damage does not appear to be terminal here... lot of work, yes, but the fuselage structure appears to be pretty much intact. Would I be wrong to assume this will be rebuilt?

Dang, how did I miss this!! It's really close to me and I don't recall seeing anything about this in the news! Glad to see that they made it out OK... aircraft can be rebuilt, people can't!
