Caught this rumbling over the upper Texas coast between Galveston and Freeport about 1430 or so 2-11-12. Can/will anyone advise me who it is? Sure a pretty sight and sound, I'd like to send 'em a great big frosty cold :drink3:

Looks like Flagship Detroit. Very nice airplane and very nice crew operating and maintaining her.

Just another one of those San Antonio Mustangs! Scheduled to be at Hondo May 19. See you all there.

Yesterday afternoon out in the yard I heard a loud radial coming over low and slow. It was a real nice looking white Stearman that looked like he was inbound for 11R.

Maybe not a warbird yet - but eligible in the future.

Well, it was from inside the Shops at Willow Bend mall in Plano, TX, but I just saw a glimpse of an F/A-18A/C come over with gear down heading north after what presumably was a low-pass or T&G at Dallas Airpark. He certainly had the throttles moved up enough.

Not your typical Sunday Afternoon. Almost thought CWAM had surprised us and gotten the MiG-23 airborne. :)

I saw two - count 'em, 2 - F4 Phantoms in trailing formation over Armand Bayou (Clear Lake Texas area) today, appeared headed for Ellington. Two Phantoms, really?

F-16's out of Sumter AFB and F/A-18's from MCAS Beaufort. C-5 inbound to and several C-17's from Charleston AFB. Several C-17's doing Touch & Go's at North Field. B-747-200 of Evergreen at Charleston AFB. The Boeing Dreamlifter at the Boeing plant in North Charleston, SC (seen frequently).

I'd like to know what's up with that. Adversary training aircraft?

Saw an EA-6B departing KRDU in a climbing, turn to an easterly heading, making that now seldom heard military turbojet sound. Seldom except for two pairs of J-79's.
